For colouring, grey is the starting word, green is a positive, red is a negative and blue is neutral.

School is coloured blue (neutral) because although I now accept that gaining an education is positive, this is certainly not how I felt at the time!

• Angry

I used to visit a resident at a care home called Brian, who had a brain injury, and he loved playing Angry Birds.

Birds is coloured red purely on account of the game, where the original angry bird, is red.

• Underground

"Circle line" is only coloured yellow because that is its colour on an underground map.

• Community

The hardest word was a tie, between 'angry' and 'community'. Possibly because these are intangible things for one, and also maybe on account of my limited experience with them.

When I became really stuck I found walking away and taking a break to be a useful strategy for unblocking the mind.
