2.  The Bardon Dress   [22nd February 2025]

I did a Google search for "free summer dress patterns" and found a website that listed a few:

I chose The Bardon Dress from the selection:

I then created the dress in Marvelous Designer using the downloaded pdf pattern.

I used a virtual model from Daz 3D, fixed the hair, makeup and posed it, then imported it into Blender along with the dress. This is the result:

I know this isn't perfect. I could write you a whole blog entry on what's wrong with it. However, what this image demostrates is that I can start with a pattern, create the clothing, dress and pose a virtual model and then photograph it. For me, that's tremendous progress.
